Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lake Patrol Saves Man From Drowning In Lake Norman

LAKE NORMAN, N.C. – A man was hospitalized after he was saved from drowning in Lake Norman on Sunday, May 26th.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lake Patrol responded to call near Lakeshore Road in reference a drowning.

Deputies say they arrived on scene and discovered a woman attempting to hold up the head of the 39-year-old victim above the water.

Deputies docked their boat nearby and aided the woman in the lake.

Deputies were able to place a life vest on the victim and lift him from the water onto the dock.

The victim was transported to Novant Huntersville for treatment.
