OMB Opens Its Second Location In Ballantyne June 1st

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Charlotte’s oldest craft brewery, will celebrate the grand opening of its second location this Saturday and Sunday in Ballantyne at 15025 Bowl Street. The new restaurant and biergarten will kick off the celebration at 11 a.m. with live music and a ceremonial keg tapping of its flagship Altbier, Copper.
OMB’s new Ballantyne location marks an exciting expansion for the company, bringing its signature brews, cozy atmosphere and amazing Biergarten to even more beer lovers in the Charlotte area. The building comprises two levels with over 14,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, and balcony space. Outside, OMB has designed a shaded one-acre biergarten with over 50 mature trees from Catawba County that provide a refreshing canopy of shade from the Carolina sun. The company also built two free-standing buildings in the biergarten with bathrooms and beverage service to accompany the 1,000+ capacity with authentic outside furniture brought in direct from Germany.
“Joining the Ballantyne business community is an exciting milestone in OMB’s continued retail growth,” said Founder John Marrino. “We see tremendous potential to welcome new and existing customers to our restaurant and biergarten. Our location in The Bowl as the flagship tenant is the perfect complement to our existing home on Yancey Road in the LoSo neighborhood.”
