ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. – Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man after he allegedly offered a 14-year-old vapes in exchange for sex, according to a news release.
The release states that on June 2, 2024, deputies learned that the owner of the Cannon Tobacco and Vape Shop in Kannapolis was soliciting a 14-year-old girl for sex using Snapchat. The owner was identified as Mohamed Mosed Ahmed Al-Hareurey and deputies say that he offered vapes in exchange for sex after the conversation was recorded.
Deputies also say that they contacted Al-Hareurey through Snapchat and the suspect made comments on his intentions on performing sex acts with a juvenile.
Al-Hareurey was arrested and charged with solicit a child by computer and solicit child prostitution.
Deputies are investigating if any other juveniles have been victims of Al-Hareurey.
