One Person Injured, Two Pets Missing In South Charlotte House Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was injured and two family pets are missing following a house fire in south Charlotte. The fire started around 9am on Turnberry Lane.
The Charlotte Fire Department says it took 40 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze under control. There were three residents inside the home who were evaluated for smoking inhalation.
One patient was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to CFD. Firefighters are still searching for two family pets.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No other details have been released at this time.
