CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting four people in Uptown Charlotte overnight.
It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday morning on North Tryon Street near Montford Point Street.
Police said the suspect got into a verbal argument with multiple people before he went to his car, grabbed a gun and fired it at the victims.
Four people in total were injured and taken to the hospital. One sustained life-threatening injuries while the other three suffered minor injuries.
The suspect, described as a black man, left the scene before police arrived.

Another shooting occurred overnight in Uptown just after 5 a.m. in the 200 block of East Trade Street near South College Street. Medic said one person was transported to Atrium CMC with serious injuries.
It’s unclear if police are searching for any suspects related to this incident.
