IREDELL, N.C. – Two firefighters with the Rowan-Iredell Fire Department died in an ATV accident in West Virginia.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office identified the two firefighters as Daniel Sell and Jacob Steele.
“My boys went to school and played ball with these two young men. Their families are a big part of the West Rowan Community. Such a sad situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
No further details on the accident were released.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends,” the Town of Cleveland said in a Facebook post. “We pray that all find peace and comfort during this difficult time.”
