Man Wanted In Rowan County For Statutory Rape Of Child
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. – A man is wanted in Rowan County for statutory rape of a 12-year-old back in May, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Steward Allen Callahan-Fletcher, 18, is wanted for two counts of first-degree statutory rape and one count of indecent liberties with a child.
On May 18th, the sheriff’s office said they responded to a Salisbury home on Paradise Drive for a welfare check of a juvenile. Deputies said they found evidence to suggest that the juvenile and Fletcher engaged in sexual activity.
Fletcher was arrested on charges for contributing delinquency of a minor for providing the juvenile contraband, the sheriff’s office said. He was released from jail at a later date.
On Tuesday, following an investigation into the sexual relationship, the sheriff’s office obtained arrest warrants for Fletcher for statutory rape.
Fletcher has not been found, and investigators are still searching for him.
