Convicted Felon Arrested In Monroe
MONROE, N.C. – Police arrested a 41-year-old convicted felon Friday morning following an extensive narcotics trafficking operation, according to the Monroe Police Department.
The Special Response Team conducted a search warrant at Dwayne Rushing’s home on Roland Drive in Monroe Friday morning. Detectives found 204 grams of marijuana, 133 grams of ecstasy, 44 grams of cocaine, one gram of crack cocaine, Suboxone, and multiple firearms, the police department said.
Rushing was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Cocaine
- Trafficking in Methamphetamine or Amphetamine
- Possession with Intent to Sell, Deliver Marijuana
- Possess Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a Firearm by Felon
Rushing was transported to the Union County Sheriff’s Office and received a $600,000 bond. His court date is set for August 22nd.
