CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Documents show Novant Health is laying off 171 employees in the Carolinas.
This includes 90 employees assigned to Novant Health facilities on Carolina Commons Drove in Indian land. The layoff is expected to be permanent and to occur on August 25, 2024.
The layoff’s are a continuation of Novant’s shift to a new IT model announced last year where the health care giant outsources some services to external companies.
Documents from the medical provider state that some DPS employees will “see adjustments in their roles and responsibilities,” while other positions will be phased out.
