Arrest Warrant Claims Mother Was At Work Prior To Eight-Year-Old Dying After Being Left In Hot Car

Update (7/1)

An arrest warrant affidavit for Ashlee Stallings has been released after Stallings is accused of leaving her eight-year-old daughter in her car while she was at work. According to the warrant, Stallings left her daughter in her car with the air on, but Stallings said her daughter most likely got cold and turned the car off.

After not hearing from her daughter for an hour and a half via text, she found her in the backseat floorboard unresponsive and with foam coming out of her mouth. According to medical staff who pronounced the victim dead, they said she suffered from a herniated brain as a result of hyperthermia.

Stallings admitted she knew the temperature was 94 degrees outside and that she should not have left the victim inside the car alone.
