Two Injured In Northwest Charlotte House Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two people were seriously injured following a house fire in northwest Charlotte overnight.

Just after midnight, Charlotte Fire responded to a home on Earney Drive near Mt Holly-Huntersville Road. Heavy fire was showing upon arrival.

CFD said the fire accidentally originated from a rollout trash can outside the home that had firework debris inside.

Two people were transported from the scene with serious injuries, Medic said.

Four total people were displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.

The fire caused approximately $20,000 in damages.
