Five More Individuals, Including A Juvenile, Charged In Shooting Of Another Juvenile

In relation to the shooting in Stony Point on June 6, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office have charged the following individuals:

  • 36-year-old Katasha Frazier has been charged with misdemeanor possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 18-year-old Tamarius Beasley has been charged with misdemeanor possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 28-year-old Chadrick McGee has been charged with with accessory after the fact.
  • 37-year-old Tammy Shumake has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
  • An unnamed juvenile has been charged with accessory after the fact.

STONY POINT, N.C. – Police responded to a call of a shooting of a juvenile that resulted in the arrest of another juvenile, according to a news release.

The release states that on June 6, officers received a call of a shooting on South Thomas Lane near Highway 90 and found a juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital and spoke with the officers. The victim is currently in stable condition.

As a result of an investigation, officers say they arrested a juvenile and charged him with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. The release claims that additional charges will be filed, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.
