CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A homicide investigation is underway in west Charlotte after one victim dies and three others were treated at a hospital, according to a news release.
The release states that on July 9, CMPD officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at Parker Heights Apartments and found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Police say this was a drug related transaction where the victims knew the suspects.
Officers say the two victims were taken to the hospital, where one died upon arrival and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Two other victims self-transported to local hospitals, where one sustained life-threatening injuries and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives are currently conducting an investigation.
