Two Arrested In Lincoln County Theft Ring

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Two Charlotte residents are facing multiple felony charges for their involvement in four separate theft cases, according to a news release.

The release states that 23 year-old William Munoz-Pineda and 24-year-old Laura Redden were identified as suspects in cases involving the theft of trucks, trailers, a side by side, a zero-turn lawnmower and an attempted theft of a motorcycle.

Detectives say both suspects were involved in three cases and Redden was the sole suspect in a fourth case, where she nearly struck a deputy while operating a stolen truck in Denver, North Carolina.

Munoz-Pineda and Redden were arrested on July 11, 2024.

Munoz-Pineda is being charged with:

  • Two felony counts of larceny of a motor vehicle
  • Three counts of felony larceny
  • One felony count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  • One felony count of attempted larceny of motor vehicle

Redden is being charged with:

  • One felony count of attempted larceny of motor vehicle
  • Two felony counts of larceny of motor vehicle
  • Three felony counts felony larceny
  • One felony count of assault with a deadly weapon on law enfrocement
