President Biden Tested Positive For COVID-19

LAS VEGAS, NV – President Joe Biden will be returning to Delaware after testing positive for COVID-19, according to the White House Press Office.

Biden received the positive test Wednesday after his first event in Las Vegas. He was expected to speak at another event Wednesday afternoon.

President Biden is expected to carry out his duties to the fullest while self-isolating at his home in Rehoboth, Delaware.

“The President presented this afternoon with upper respiratory symptoms, to include rhinorhea (runny nose) and non-productive cough, with general mailaise,” the president’s doctor said. “The President will be self-isolating in accordance with CDC guidance for symptomatic individuals.”

The president is vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms, the White House said.

“His symptoms remain mild, his respiratory rate is normal at 16, his temperature is normal at 97.8 and his pulse oximetry is normal at 97%,” the president’s doctor said.
