BURKE COUNTY, N.C. – A man was arrested on a slew of charges after a victim showed deputies video footage of a potential break and enter incident.
The day before the arrest, deputies received additional footage from the suspect’s Facebook page and immediately identified the him as 37-year-old Dustin McCormack.
Investigators say they also found a Facebook post made by McCormack that references the victim and shows pictures of the victim’s residence.
Warrants for McCormack’s arrest were obtained and he turned himself in.
McCormack was charged with the following:
- Protective Order Violation (2 counts) – court date is 08/08/24 in Burke Co.
- Cyberstalking – court date is 08/08/24 in Burke Co.
- Expired Registration Card/Tag – court date is 08/16/24 in Burke Co.
- Assault on a Female – court date is 08/08/24 in Burke Co.
- Reckless Driving to Endanger – court date is 08/20/2024 in Iredell Co.
- Speeding – court date is 07/26/24 in Burke Co.
- Resisting Public Officer – court date is 08/08/24 in Burke Co.
McCormack’s bond is set for $20,000 secured, and his next court date will be August, 9th.
