GAFFNEY, S.C. β One person is dead following a vehicle collision involving a freight-liner truck in Cherokee County on Thursday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred around 8:49 a.m. Thursday on US 29 near South Green River Road.
A pickup truck attempted to enter US 29 from South Green River Road when it was struck by a southbound freight-liner truck, the highway patrol said.
The pickup truck driver died as a result of the crash. The freightliner truck driver was not injured.
No further details were released. The highway patrol is still investigating the collision.
