Original Story

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Running back Rashaad Penny was placed on the reserve/retired list Tuesday morning.

The veteran running back, who played for head coach Dave Canales when he was in Seattle, had signed here in May.

The 28-year-old Penny played five years for the Seahawks and spent last season with the Eagles. In 45 games, he ran for 1,951 yards and 13 touchdowns.

To fill his roster spot, the Panthers signed wide receiver Tayvion Robinson. An undrafted rookie from Kentucky, he was in Ravens camp earlier this spring. Robinson is on the field this morning.
