CONCORD, N.C. β All southbound lanes on Interstate 85 are closed in Concord due to a serious vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon.
The highway is closed past Exit 55 at Davidson Highway. Traffic is backed up for miles to US Highway 29.Β

The road is expected to reopen around 5:30 p.m., according to the NCDOT.
