Jewelry Store Robbery Investigation Underway In Statesville
STATESVILLE, N.C. – The Statesville Police Department is investigating a robbery at Kay Jewelers on Turnersburg Highway on August 16 at 12:25 p.m., according to a news release.
The release states that a suspect was armed with a hammer and smashed display cases, stealing various pieces of jewelry, as well as threatening store employees. No injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene in a white BMW with the license plate covered and was described as a white man with long dark hair and seen wearing blue jeans, black sneakers, dark gloves, a grey shirt with a short-sleeve black shirt over it and a black covering part of his face, as said in the release.
The vehicle was found abandoned at the dead end of Pump Station Road, near the Kay Jewelers.
