Three Arrested For Stealing Pharmacy Items In Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Three men were arrested in Mooresville for allegedly stealing over-the-counter items at a CVS and Walgreens, according to the Mooresville Police Department.

Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a license plate reader recorded a hit on a vehicle believed to be driven by a suspect with multiple out-of-state warrants.

The vehicle was spotted in the parking lot of an AT&T store in Mooresville. Officers searched the vehicle after being alerted to marijuana being inside.

In the search, police said they found fentanyl and over-the-counter pharmacy items that were stolen from CVS. 

A third suspect was identified and found to be in possession of stolen over-the-counter pharmacy items from Walgreens.

Okeem Hunter, 18, Logan Guffie, 36, and Richard Atkins, 48, were all arrested. They face various charges, including larceny and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hunter and Atkins did not receive a bond amount as they were already out on bond. They are being held in the Iredell County Detention Center. Guffie received a $1,000 secured bond.
