Classroom Central Working To Make Sure Teachers Are Stocked And Ready To Rock This School Year
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -Third grade CMS teacher Trinere Rodriguez said every dollar towards crayons notebooks and pencils is worth it if it means creating a better learning space for her students.
The team at Classroom Central understands that funding that vision is not cheap.
Emily Cook with the communications team at the non profit said, “an article came out in the paper, actually, last week that said the average family spends upwards of $700 sending their kids back to school, and some of that does include technology and other things, but about $200 of that was school supplies. And, you know, for a lot of families, it’s just not feasible.”
Classroom Central operates with a goal of fostering equity in education by providing teacher and students with the free resources they need to succeed across six school districts and more than 245 schools.
