CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. β South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating a series of incidents involving a man and officers exchanging gunfire, according to a news release.
The release states that in the evening of August 21, Pageland Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call and found 37-year-old Kenneth Bragg on the scene and armed.
Police say Bragg fired shots and officers and fled the scene and the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office found Bragg, resulting in an exchange of gunfire and a vehicle chase.
A SLED helicopter responded to the scene and Bragg fired shots at the vehicle before barricading himself inside a home on Salebarn Lane, as said by the release.
SLED claimed an overnight standoff ensued and shots were fired throughout the incident. Bragg was taken into custody on Thursday morning and charged with 29 offenses.
Two SLED drones were damaged by Bragg and two SLED robots were utilized during the standoff.
