Man Charged After 22 Guns, Narcotics Seized In Search Warrant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police seized 22 firearms, three of which were stolen, and a large sum of narcotics in a search warrant at the residence of a suspect accused of stealing materials from a local business, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police responded to a business that said one of their flatbed trucks, filled with supplies, was stolen on its property.

The truck had a GPS tracking device on it, which allowed police to follow it to the suspect’s location outside of Charlotte.

Police obtained a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and uncovered stolen property from the victim’s business. The stolen property is valued at $15,000, CMPD said.

Detectives also seized 22 firearms and narcotics, including approximately five grams of fentanyl, in the search.

The suspect, 34-year-old Rashaad Sinclair, is facing charges for larceny of motor vehicle, possession of stolen firearms, drug possession and drug trafficking.
