Juvenile Charged For Making Bomb Threat At Rowan County High School

SALISBURY, N.C. – A juvenile has been charged after allegedly making a bomb threat at a high school in Rowan County on Friday, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to East Rowan High School to investigate a bomb threat made at the school. Students and staff were evacuated, but nothing was found during an extensive search of the school.

The school resumed normal operations once the building was cleared.

Later that day, deputies received a tip about a juvenile suspect in connection to the incident, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies made contact and determined that the juvenile did make the bomb threat.

The juvenile’s name has not been released but is facing charges.
