Over 1,000 Grams Of Methamphetamine Seized In Burke County Drug Arrest

BURKE CO., N.C. – Deputies arrested a man and seized over 1,000 grams of methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Burke County on Thursday night, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 8 p.m., deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. They conducted a search of the vehicle and found the large sum of methamphetamine, deputies said.

The driver, Reginald Curtis, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance.

Curtis was booked into the Burke County Jail. He initially received a $200,000 bond that was later upgraded to $500,000.
