CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three people were sent to the hospital after a serious vehicle collision near Uptown on Sunday morning, according to Medic.
It happened before 5:30 a.m. on the outer loop of I-277 near mile marker 3.
Medic said it transported three people from the scene with serious injuries, two to Atrium Main and one to Novant Presbyterian.
It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
The accident temporarily shut down all lanes on the I-277 outer loop. It reopened around 6:45 a.m.
