4 Arrested, 4 Guns Seized At Matthews Arcade
MATTHEWS, N.C. βΒ Four suspects are facing charges after police said they seized four guns in a search warrant at an arcade in Matthews on Tuesday.
The search took place Tuesday at Ocean King Arcade off East Independence Boulevard. It happened following a lengthy investigation into alleged illegal gambling activities at the arcade.
Police said they seized four guns, U.S. currency and gaming software and hard drives from 75 arcade machines consisting of 111 playing stations.
The four individuals were charged with three counts of unlicensed armed security, one count of illegal gambling and one outstanding arrest warrant.
The case is still under an active investigation.
