22 Guns, Drugs Seized In Morganton
MORGANTON, N.C. β A man was arrested in Morganton after deputies say they searched his residence and seized 22 guns, ammunition and drugs, according to the Burke County Sheriffβs Office.
Around August 30th, deputies received numerous complaints about suspicious activity from 54-year-old Samuel Yancey Jr.βs residence.
As such, a search was conducted at the residence. Officials said obvious signs of narcotics manufacturing were found, including a blender with a white powdery residue presumed to be fentanyl.
In total, deputies say they seized 22 firearms, a large amount of ammunition, methamphetamine and fentanyl on Yanceyβs person.
Yancey was charged with the following:
- Felony Manufacture of Controlled Substance Schedule II
- Felony Possession Schedule II (Methamphetamine)
- Felony Maintaining a Vehicle, Dwelling, Place Controlled Substances
