Deputies Arrest Three After Finding Human Remains Near Johns River
MORGANTON, N.C. β The Burke County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged three individuals after finding human remains near Johns River, according to a news release.
The release states that deputies responded to a call on Corpening Bridge Road near the canoe access after a group of kayakers found human remains.
After an investigation, a search warrant on Pax Hill Road in Morganton was executed and Robert Dale Jr., 58, Rocky Dale, 35 and Lorie Stephens, 50, were arrested as a result.
Dale Jr. was charged with concealment of death, disturbing human remains and probation violation. Dale and Stephens were charged with concealment of death and disturbing human remains.
The investigation is active and ongoing and additional charge are expected.
