Motorcycle Fatality Along The Blue Ridge Parkway

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – A fatal motor vehicle collision is being investigated after a motorcycle operator was hit and killed, according to a news release.

The release states that on September 9, officials responded to a call regarding to a motor vehicle accident on Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 377.

Buncombe County Fire arrived on the scene and found the motorcycle operator, 67-year-old Albertaus Peek, deceased.

Investigation claims Peek was traveling with a group of riders and failed to navigate a turn and hit a vehicle that was traveling the opposite direction.

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
