Kyanna Simone Opens Up On The Sisterhood In The Supremes At Earl’s All You Can Eat

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  “The Supremes at Earl’s All You Can Eat,” is set in a back and forth backdrop of 1960’s and present day Indiana . However one of the film’s stars Kyanna Simone let us know it was actually filmed right in our backyard of Wilmington.

“We called it summer camp in Wilmington because the bond that we grew just felt like the reminiscent times of childhood when you meet your new, like, best friend. You guys hit it off so quickly. And that’s exactly what happened with us, which, I believe really transferred onto screen,” she says.

Simone plays the role of Young Odette, part of a trio of best friends who are more like family as they take viewers on the years long ride that helped forge their sisterhood. Simone says there’s a secret to creating lasting relationships.

“when we’re able to choose our friends, our sisters, our Supremes, I feel like those relationships and those bonds become so much stronger. And I think that’s what’s so beautiful about the Supremes is it highlights those friendships that a lot of us don’t always get to have.”

Tackling topics like gender inequality, infidelity, alcoholism, and even the supernatural; each of the Supremes offer a slice of American culture everyone can relate to. Their experiences come full circle at their favorite meeting spot and part of the namesake of the film… “Earl’s All You Can Eat”
The film is out now on Hulu.
