Two Taken Into Custody After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Mooresville Police Department arrested and charged two individuals after a pursuit on I-77 in a stolen vehicle, according to a news release.

The release states that in the morning of September 15, police were alerted to a stolen vehicle on Highway 150 and attempted to make a stop, but the suspect vehicle fled and was followed by a pursuit on I-77.

The pursuit continued to the Remount Road area, where one suspect fled on foot before being apprehended, as said by police, with a total of two suspects being taken into custody.

The passenger of the vehicle, 18-year-old Skylar Wilson, was served with an active common law robbery warrant out of Mecklenburg County.

The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Christian Dos Santos, was charged with:

  • Felony flee to elude
  • Felony possession of stolen motor vehicle
  • Two counts of hit and run
  • Careless and reckless driving
  • Driving Without an operator’s license

Dos Santos was also served with two active South Carolina warrants for larceny of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights.
