Two Suspects Wanted In York County Shooting

NEWPORT, S.C. – Deputies are searching for two suspects in regards to a shooting at a mobile home park in York County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office.

It happened at the Adnah Hills Avenue Mobile Home Park in Newport, South Carolina. One person was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Deputies are at the scene and set up a perimeter with K9 dogs on the ground searching, officials said.

At 6:15 p.m, the sheriff’s office said they took one person into custody. Minutes later, they said they were looking for two possibly armed suspects.

The suspects are described as black men, one was wearing a blue baseball jersey and the other was wearing all black.

A CMPD helicopter is in the area helping the sheriff’s office search.

Anyone that sees them is asked not to approach and call 911.
