CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person died following a car crash in Chesterfield County overnight, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on SC 9 near Coon Creek Road, approximately four miles east of Pageland, South Carolina.
Troopers say a Ford pickup truck heading west on SC 9 collided with an eastbound Toyota sedan.
The Toyota driver died as a result of the crash. The truck driver was not injured.
No further details about the crash were released.
This crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
