CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An area business has teamed up with a non-profit to pack half a million meals for Hurricane Helene survivors. It’s called Hope for the High Country.

No Child Hungry and Queen City Audio Video & Appliances partnered for the massive disaster relief effort.

Volunteers packed boxes with pasta, oats, and lots of snacks.

By the time they were finished, they packed nearly 50-thousand meals, and 20-thousand hygiene kits.

No Child Hungry COO, Mike Whitaker says they will also be sending toys for children in Western North Carolina.
