HUDSON, NC – A 57-year-old man died Sunday night after a car hit him on US 321 near Mission Road in Caldwell County.
The NC Highway Patrol says a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze struck Randy McGuire around 9p.m. Sunday as he walked southbound in the roadway.
Investigators say McGuire was wearing dark clothing and the road was not lighted.Β The driver of the car did not get hurt.
The Highway Patrol says impairment and speed do not appear to be contributing factors to the accident.
