Staying Sunny And Dry
AM Headlines:
- Sunny and Dry
- Gradual Warm Up
- Fire Weather Concern
- No Rain In Sight
- Late Weekend Cool Down
Discussion:
High pressure remains firmly in place this week, keeping things dry with lots of sunshine and gradual warming through midweek. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s today with lows falling into the mid to upper 40s. Overnight lows will warm into the mid 50s by late week with highs near 80, and low to no rain chances. Low humidity along with the dry air, especially in the mountains may increase fire weather concerns, but winds should stay relatively light this week. Watch for potential burn bans.
Tropics:
Nadine and Oscar both formed this weekend. Nadine made landfall over the Yucatan Peninsula and quickly dissipated. Oscar made landfall as a category 1 hurricane over Cuba. It is now a tropical storm bringing heavy rain to parts of the Caribbean. It will move back out to sea by tomorrow and stay away from the U.S.
