Trump Promises To Bring ‘Christian Values’ To The White House If Re-Elected

In a room full of Christian leaders and supporters in Concord, Former President Donald Trump promised to bring what he calls “Christian values” back to the White House if he’s re-elected.

My faith became stronger on July 13th when I was knocked to the ground by what seemed like a Supernatural hand,” Trump said. “I’d like to think God saved me for a purpose and that’s to make our country great again,” Trump said.

With close two weeks until the election, Trump and his team are spending time in battleground states like North Carolina. He made several stops in the Tarheel state Monday and has other events planned in NC on Tuesday. While he’s focused on states where polls show a close race, some supporters have been following him across the nation on the campaign trail.

This is my 100th Trump rally and I wanted number 100 to be a special one,” Edward X. Young, New Jersey resident said. “What could be more perfect than faith leaders?”

More than 1 million people have already voted early in North Carolina. In his 52 minute speech, Trump acknowledged voters in Western North Carolina continuing to recover from Hurricane Helene.

I visited some of the worst areas,” Trump said. “They just set a record for votes cast thus far.”

Bob Newman from Charlotte spent hours in line for the rally Monday at the Concord Convention Center. He says he passed out from heat exhaustion and after an IV from EMTs he was ready to watch his first rally.

I didn’t vote for a person. I voted for a country. I voted for my country,” Newman said. “Forget all the personalities, the country comes first.”

Trump spent a portion of his speech talking about changes he would make in the public education system.

On day one, I will sign an executive order banning schools from promoting critical race theory or transgender insight,” Trump said. “I will take historic action to defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology and reaffirm that God created two genders male and female.”

Trump says he has a plan to secure the border and force undocumented people out of the US.

On day one, I will stop the migrant invasion we will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country,” Trump said.

Supporters at the rally Monday say America needs a tighter border for safety.

I’m hoping that he will close the borders and make our borders safe again and not let all these people in that’s what I’m hoping and praying for,” Sylvia Henderson from China Grove said.

Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee will be in North Carolina Tuesday hosting a rally in Uptown Charlotte with members of the LGBTQ community.
