CHARLOTTE, N.C. —The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte is seeking volunteers to ring the bells at Red Kettle locations across the city. The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army’s iconic holiday initiative, providing funds for year-round services in the community, such as sheltering and housing programs, youth services, disaster response, and Christmas assistance.
“For nearly 125 years, The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles have stood as a beacon of hope during the holiday season,” says The Salvation Army Charlotte Area Commander Major Jason Burns. “Ring the bells with friends, family, co-workers, church, or civic group. All are welcome!”
The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte has flexible volunteer opportunities. Whether for a few hours or an entire day, this is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community while spreading the season’s joy.
