CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A second juvenile has been charged in connection to the murder of a 15-year-old in September, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The 15-year-old juvenile was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder.
On September 10th, Anthony Smith was found dead in south Charlotte on Silverleaf Road near Old Pineville Road. He died from a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide.
Smith was reported missing on September 4th.
Earlier this month on October 23rd, a 15-year-old juvenile was arrested in connection to Smith’s death and was later charged with murder.
The names of both suspects were not released.
The investigation is still ongoing.
