550 turkeys given away by GPD and other organizations
GASTONIA, N.C. – The Gastonia Police Department gave away frozen turkeys and boxed meals to people in need on Thursday afternoon.
It was all made possible with a partnership with 101 Black Men of Highland for the third straight year.
In total, 550 turkeys and 500 care boxes were given out.
Below are some donations that helped make this possible:
- City Church-$2235
- Springwood Freewill Baptist Church-$500
- Gaston Radiology-$250
- Tabernacle Baptist Church-$250
- First Assembly-$200
- Gastonia Police Foundation-$1,000
- Tony’s Ice Cream- Donated 60 turkeys and allowed us to use their freezer to store 550 turkeys until the delivery date.
