CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An officer was transported to the hospital after a CMPD vehicle was hit by another motorist in Uptown on Sunday morning, according to police.
It happened around 11 a.m. in the 300 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near South College Street.
Police said the officer was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
No additional details were released.
