Concord firefighters rescue dogs from burning house

CONCORD, NC – A home caught on fire at around 11:15am on Wednesday on Wilmar Street in Concord with five dogs inside.

Firefighters arrived within three minutes and say they saw heavy smoke coming from inside the single-story home.

The people who live there were not home at the time, but firefighters were able to rescue their five dogs from the house.

The Concord Fire Marshal’s Office is looking into the cause of the fire.
