Christmas Town USA lights up the holiday season
MCADENVILLE, NC – McAdenville has transformed back into Christmas Town USA for the holiday season.
The opening ceremony took place on December 2nd with the annual tree lighting ceremony.
The tradition started in 1956. The McAdenville Men’s Club and W. J. Pharr decorated trees around the McAdenville Community Center with red, white, and green lights in an effort to make the town more festive. It has grown to thousands of lights.
There is no charge to park, drive or walk through Christmas Town USA.
People can visit McAdenville to see the lights through December 26th from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m each night.
