Discussion:
A powerful Arctic front will sweep through the area today, bringing gusty winds, a sharp drop in temperature and some mountain snow. Temps will top out in the low 50s early this afternoon before falling into the 40s later in the day. Behind the front, dry and frigid air settles in for the next two days with lows in the teens nad low 20s and highs struggling to reach the low 40s. Elevated fire danger will be a concern for the Foothills and Piedmont due to strong wind and low humidity.
The weekend will be sunny and dry with temperatures warming back into the upper 50s by Sunday. A major pattern change for next week as a warm, moist airmass brings on and off rain chances early next week with temperatures climbing back into the mid to upper 60s  by Tuesday.
