Police make arrests and seize cars following weekend street takeovers
An officer got hurt after one of those takeovers led to a chase.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD seized three vehicles and arrested three people following ten street takeovers this past weekend. We’ve learned that one of the seized vehicles was stolen. The department says officers issued five citations — four for spectating a street takeover and one for participating in a street takeover.
WCCB is told an officer got hurt after one of those takeovers led to a chase.
CMPD says if you ever witness or have information about street takeovers to report them immediately.
