Victim in deadly triple shooting identified

CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say 35-year-old Wonah Abu-Baby Konte Jr. died and two other people were hurt in a shooting in University City Sunday night.

Police say the shooting happened along University City Boulevard just before 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Medic took Wonah Abu-Baby Konte Jr. to Atrium Main where he died from his injuries.

The other two victims were treated at Atrium Health University. Police have not released their names or their conditions.
