18-year-old Omar Teasley is charged with the July 2024 murder of 18-year-old Rashaka Prince.
CHARLOTTE, NC – An 18-year-old is in custody charged with the July murder of 18-year-old Rashaka Prince on Cattail Court near Plaza Road Extension.
Police were called to the area on 1:15 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024 for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When they arrived, they found Prince, who had been shot.
Detectives identified 18-year-old Omar Teasley as a suspect in the murder, and arrested him on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Teasley is being held without bond in the Mecklenburg County Jail. In court on Tuesday, a judge appointed him a public defender.
No other information about the shooting has been released.
