Lamelo Ball leading eastern conference guards in all-star voting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – The NBA announced today its first fan voting returns for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco, and Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball ranks first among all Eastern Conference guards with 947,444 votes. Ball was named an All-Star in 2022, becoming the fourth-youngest player in league history to earn the honor, behind only Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Magic Johnson.

LaMelo Ball is currently leading Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard, Jalen Bruson and Trae Young in the top five of all-star voting. Ball is averaging career highs this season in points (30.1), field goals (10.5), 3-pointers (4.5) and free throws (4.7). His scoring average ranks fourth in the NBA and is on pace to set a Hornets single-season record.

All-Star voting tipped off on Thursday, Dec. 19 and concludes on Monday, Jan. 20 at 11:59 p.m. Hornets fans can cast their ballot for LaMelo Ball and all Charlotte players HERE. Friday Jan. 3, is the next 3-for-1 voting day in which a vote for LaMelo counts triple towards his overall fan voting total.

Fan voting updates will be shared on the first three Thursdays in January (Jan. 2, 9 and 16). NBA All-Star Game starters will be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 23 and the reserves on Thursday, Jan. 30.
